Caramelized onion dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain 0% Greek yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp. canola oil
  • 2 medium yellow onions
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. light mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • Chips or crackers for serving

Directions

  • Saute onions and garlic in butter and oil over medium-high heat for 1 minute.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover and cook, stirring every 5-8 minutes until onions are dark, about 30 minutes.
  • Transfer to a bowl and cool completely before stirring in yogurt, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder and salt. Chill before serving.
