According to a study published in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry, grapes may help protect skin cells against harmful ultraviolet rays. UVA and UVB rays trigger the creation of cell-killing reactions in skin, but special flavonoid compounds found in grapes were shown to reduce those reactions.

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, when people experience rashes related to skin care products, the following are the four most common causes of the irritation:

1. Fragrance

2. Preservatives (parabens, etc.)

3. Colors (dyes)
